Scott & Carrie Schimmel
Committee Chairs
Carrie and Scott Schimmel met in college through a ministry called InterVarsity Christian Fellowship where Scott diligently attended Carrie's weekly Bible study...to get closer to God and to her! After graduation from the University of San Diego they spent a decade serving together on college campuses across the county to develop world changers with deep hearts, and in the meantime had three kids and moved to the suburbs of Rancho Bernardo. Now, Carrie is fully involved in their kid's schools as a classroom volunteer and Scott coaches different sports. Scott also runs a social-emotional education company called The YouSchool, with a mission to help all students discover identity, purpose, and belonging so they can thrive in life. They're both fully committed to helping Young Life flourish in this community- for the sake of every kid.
Andrea Raibert
Area Administrator
Andrea Raibert became involved with Young Life as a parent volunteer when her daughter was in WyldLife at Twin Peaks MS and helped coordinate the weekly WyldLife donuts and yearly Young Life Banquet. She loves everything about Young Life so came on staff to help behind the scenes as the Area Administrator.
Andrea has an awesome husband and two great kids. When she isn't hanging out at her kid's sporting events, she loves a good cup of coffee, cooking, hanging out with friends and traveling the world.
